Finding busy hard disk based no of reads and no of writes

N_RajOct 5 2017 — edited Oct 5 2017

Hi All,

We have a server Red hat. We have Oracle DB 11.2.0.4 on Red hat.

Data files are stored at file system level

I would like to find a busy hard disk based on high number of read ( Top 5 or 10 ) and  high number of write ( Top 5 or 10) in a real time or in a given time period.

I found in the net "iostat -s | awk '$13 > 0' | sort -nrk13"

But i unable to understand sort and $13 > 0

Thanks & Regards,
