Find user name from session id(SID in v$session)

767121Apr 28 2010 — edited May 3 2012
Hi everyone,

I want to find the OS or apps username form the SID in the v$session view. The users are using oracle applications(e-business suite) so when I check v$session all I can see is APPS for username and applprod for osuser. I want to find out the real(may not be a good choice of word) user who started the session.

Is such a thing possible? I am new to oracle and DB administration so any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks...
