Financial Reporting Web Studio: Variance calculation when result is <0

mb1824Feb 19 2018 — edited Feb 19 2018

Hi,

I use Cloud PBCS.

I have produced the below in Financial Reporting Web Studio:

  • The 3 Var columns & the Var % column are formulas.
  • The first Var column (highlighted in yellow) is Variance([A],[B])
    • For some reason it shows up as 0.0%.
    • If I change it to any of Variance([A].[F]), Variance([A].[G]) or Variance([A].[K]) - it displays correctly, while Variance([A].[B]), Variance([A].[I]), Variance([A].[J]) all display as 0.0%

It seems to me it can't properly display negative numbers? I don't have any problems with the Variance calculation when the member name in the row has data type Currency or Non-Currency.

Can anyone explain why this is happening/how I fix it?
