Financial Reporting - Alternate Hierarchy question

I was wondering if it was possible to have User Selected POV for Entity (i.e. Nashville) be used as a reference for an alternate shared member hierarchy (i.e. Tier)? In other words, I'd like to create an FR report that utilizes two hierarchies off of the same member, one of which is an alternate shared member hierarchy. Alternatively, would I be better off using a UDA?
