File Upload to Unix Server

Hi All -

Could anyone please help me out with uploading file to unix server. I am trying to FTP a file to unix server using java and facing problem in creating a connection with the unix server.

Please guide me how can I make a connection to the server and ftp file to it. Or is there any other way to do so in ADF / Java?

I am using af:inputFile component to browse and select file.

The requirement is part of ADF development using ADF 11g. I hope the forum to post this issue is correct.
