file handles staying open on ocius.msb

We have a couple of different C++ programs using OCI to access the database, and under stress testing conditions we're finding that these processes are consuming an inordinate number of file descriptors, all opened as RD_ONLY on ocius.msb.

This is happening on a Solaris 9 box, against an 9i (i can get more specific info if needed).

Ring bells for anyone?
