Figuring out factorials

Ok, as per the suggestions on friday, i went back and read the chapter, and i still dont get how to work with factorials, i dont get how a book doesnt give you an example of it or talk about it expects you to write programs that include that code, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks---Dinty
