Fields overlapping

Hi,
I'm using forms6i. I have a group above report.
The first part has columns like
Doc Type,Doc No,....MArks ,Description,Notes
and the below part has columns BOE,Item Code etc..

So here however the length of marks,descr and notes in thefirst part, the second part should always come below it.
But in my case this is happening based on just the description.
So if the description takes 2 lines, then BOE etc comes below it,
But in that case if marks/notes takes more than 2 lines , then BOE gets printed after 2 lines(as per descr) and so the data gets overlapped with the marks/notes

What could be the reason?
