Fdisk - Cylinders

Hi everyone,

I want to ask if somebody can give me an answer to it:

When i do a fdisk to a disk, i am asked for set up the interval of cylinder for the new partition, so if i put of first cylinder to 100 cylinder, it means that it takes physical place in disk starting since center of disk (sector slower) or it begins to take since around of cylinder (sector faster) to center.
