FCCS - Configurable calcs to generate movements from closing balances

Sounak_COct 20 2017 — edited Nov 13 2017

Hi Experts,

We are in process of migrating a HFM application to FCCS and would appreciate your inputs regarding data loads.

In HFM, we used to load YTD trial balances which would include YTD movements for PnL and life-to-date balances for asset/liability/equity accounts.

FCCS provides a member FCCS_ClosingBalance_Input to capture similar information. I am aware that this member is not consolidated or translated.

Some of the documents I referred mentioned that this member needs to be used in conjunction with configurable calculations to populate movements, but not much detail is provided.

I was hoping to generate a default movement based on this closing balance and calculated opening balance from prior year as it's hard to get every movement line item for each balance sheet account.

Just wanted to understand what the suggested approach is for migrating an existing HFM app to FCCS where users have mostly been loading closing balances through FDM and then populate movements for certain line items for stat disclosure through forms.

Regards,

S
