Faulty boot disk

Sergej HoweilerApr 4 2018 — edited Apr 4 2018

Hello,

we have a Oracle ZFS Storage 7120 with running ZFS Storage Appliance 2011.04.24.3.0,1-1.19

The hardware overview shows that a boot disk is missing. The status of the entire system is not displayed as degraded.

There are also no active problems reported.

In the log, I found the following error message. Apparently it happened a long time ago.

I have checked the status via CLI. The second hard disk is marked with the status "cant_open"

This can also be seen in the system overview.

The system disks are configured with the profile "Mirrored". For me it means a RAID 1.

We replaced the faulty disk with exact same, but nothing happens. The system does not recognize the new hard disk.

Is there a way to reactivate the new hdd?

Do I have to take any further steps?

The storage run in produktive.

Unfortunately the storage is out of oracle support.

Thanks!

Regards

Sergej
