FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET

615452Apr 15 2008 — edited Apr 15 2008
Hi,

--------------------------------------------------------
When to enable
==============
- system I/O capacity is insufficient with fast-start checkpointing
- If it is necessary to control the time to recover from an instance
or node failure, then set FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET to the desired MTTR
in seconds.

--------------------------------------------------------

I did not understand those words properly, i mean, if i set FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET = 20 SECONDS.....when instance fails, system will take 20 seconds to recover or what does it mean?

can anybody describe please?

those lines are from Metalink,
