Failure to install Oracle 12c on IBM AIX 6.1. Oracle 11g was successfully installed with no problems in 2012. I have carefully done all the pre-install steps in the 12c release 1 (12.1) Quick Install Guide for IBM AIX on POWER Systems 64-bit. /tmp has lots of space. The install procedure leaves behind the directory it is complaining about so it writes it and then says it cannot access it. I don't know why it is referencing the HOSTNAME 'inslaw11' of the computer. This is a stand-a-lone machine.
How to I get this install to work?
