Failed to update system registry

Hello,

When I am opening Discoverer Desktop (9.0.4.43.17) the following error messages appears:

Failed to update the system registry. Please try using Regedit.

But in spite of this message (or the negative effect it’s causing in the tool) I can continue working with desktop.
Is this message of any influence on the performance or workability of discoverer?
And what can I do to solve this error message??
