Hi,
I have Grid monitoring a Win2003 host and DB. The host is up and running along with the listener and DB however on Grid, the DB seems to be down. Not too sure why GRID thinks it is down but it is not. It does however know that the host is up and running and the listener. This is the error I get:
Failed to connect to database instance: ORA-12538: TNS:no such protocol adapter (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach).
I have checked the target.xml file. This is the contents of it:

Does anyone know why this is happening? Why GRID can not seem to see that my DB is actually up and running. Why can the agent not connect to the DB.
I have enabled Metrics browser and it is also telling me the same error.
Please help...
