Fail to create hardware D3D Device, please help, thanks!

When I run a Java3D program, the error shows

"Fail to create hardware D3D Device,switch to use reference rasterizer.
-D3DERR_INVALIDCALL".

Anyone meet this kind of problem before?

In fact, this is a simple program and I have successfully run it one month ago on my laptop. However, since something wrong with my laptop, I sent back to dell last week.
But right now, it does not work and the error message above comes out.
Is this error related with my hardware or how can I run my Java3D program?
Thank you so much!

BTW, my laptop is (Dell 4150, Vedio card is ATI Radeon 7500 AGP 16M )
