I've spent the last few hours trying to add a Data Connection to my Oracle Database on Visual Studio, without success.
I've tried both TNS and EzConnect methods, and I don't think there's anything wrong with the parameters I'm providing (I have a virtual machine on the same network as my PC and when trying to setup the Data Connection there it works).
There's no error ID, and the error message is pretty generic. It can be translated to something like: "Oracle Communication: Failed to establish connection with the server or to parse the connection string" (a screenshot is attached to the end of the post).
I'm using Visual Studio Community Version 15.9.6 (VisualStudio.15.Release/15.9.6+28307.344) with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio 2017 18.3.0 (followed this quickstart) on Windows 10 Home Single Language 1809.
I've already tried to install a older version of Oracle Developer Tools, and also tried to re-install the version I'm using.
