Extreme slowness on the login with Active Directory (AD)

Jerome DuboisAug 29 2012 — edited Sep 5 2012
Hi people.

Working with Weblogic 10.3.5.0, Content 11.1.1.5.0 and AIX.

Here's some infos:

java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build pap6460sr10-20111208_01(SR10))
IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 AIX ppc64-64 jvmap6460sr10-20111207_96808 (JIT enabled, AOT enabled)
J9VM - 20111207_096808
JIT - r9_20111107_21307ifx1
GC - 20110519_AA)
JCL - 20111104_02

AIX
AIX anmtl251 1 6 00C39E054C00

OSLEVEL
6100-06

We use Microsoft Active Directory for the login but we also use the DefaultAuthenticator provider because we need Local users. The credential map is well setted because the users can connect to Content and the security groups are retrieved but the login is extremely slow, very slow. It takes about 5-8 minutes to logon but when connected, the Content server goes very fast.

Any suggestions?

The problem seems to be related to the connectivity with the AD because when we consult the logs, the step <Security> <BEA-090082> <Security initializing using security realm myrealm.> freezes long time.
