Extracting source code from jar file

Hi all,

I wanted to know if it is possible to extract the source code from a .jar file. If so, what do I need to do? Is there a program I can use?

The reason I ask is because I'm reading an ebook with examples of code, but the examples do not compile. However, the included jar file works fine, and that is supposed to be the finished product.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
