Extracting Data using Export utility in Hyperion Planning

Hi,

I have a data form which i am unable to open in smartview and hyperion planning due to large no. of potential blocks.... to view the data i tried exporting the combination of dimensions in export utility of hyperion planning. The export file was generated in seconds and was containing hardly 1000 rows.

My questions is... why hyperion planning and smartview are unable to show 1000 rows and export utility was able to export it?

Does export utility and planning fetch data in different way?
