Extract Refering REDO log of ASM format.

VIRUSep 30 2011 — edited Oct 3 2011
Hi,
I am implementing Oracle GoldenGate 11g on 2 server's . The details are as follows :-

MACHINE 1 :- SOURCE Machine :- ASM DB.
MACHINE 2 :- TARGET Machine :- Non - ASM.

I want to replicate from ASM db to NON-ASM db. I have created the EXTRACT and REPLICAT process. They both are running fine. No error in their report file. But I can see that EXTRACT is still trying to access REDO log of an ASM format.

The scenario is that we had taken a full backup using RMAN of ASM database and then restored it to other server which is NON-ASM. While restoring we faced some error for redo log files but then the DB was in mount mode as TARGET machine so we renamed the REDO log files and successfully opened the DB for use.

Now when i am trying to run a EXTRACT it shows me that its searching for REDO log files in ASM path .... how to change this ??

I have used the DBLOGREADER option in my params of EXTRACT which is as below :-
EXTRACT NGPSMOKE
SETENV (ORACLE_HOME = "/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1")
SETENV (ORACLE_SID = "NGPSMOKE2")
TRANLOGOPTIONS DBLOGREADER
USERID ggs_owner,PASSWORD ggs_owner
RMTHOST OFSMUW-OVM-51.i-flex.com,MGRPORT 7810
RMTTRAIL /home/oracle/GoldenGate/dirdat/NGPSMOKE/rt
FETCHOPTIONS FETCHPKUPDATECOLS
TABLE NGPSMOKE.*;
but this option it should read the redo log files directly from the user and not from ASM .... where am i doing it wrong ?

Please guide me as per.

Thanks in Advance.
