Extra RAM installation to Sun T210

Hi all,
I will install extra RAM to sun T210 server.We are using this server as a media server,it does not have also database.
As far as i know,adding new RAM does not require any conf change.It only need shut down and then when OS started,OS should detect new
memory.But i am not sure.
Does anyone have a procedure about this or know how to install new RAM safely?
