External Oracle User with Password expire

Hi,

I encounter a database user with EXPIRY_DATE and PASSWORD showing EXTERNAL. Which I think is strange cause if you're identified externally, the expiry_date shold show null.

But I unable to simulate the above scenario.

Anyone can help on this ?
