Extension crashes with incorrect use of F5/F6 shortcut

I work with both SQL files and packages. Sometimes I incorrectly use F6 (compile for debug) in the SQL worksheet instead of F5 (run script), after this mistake the extension crashes and I have to reload VS Code.

Could you add some safeguard/protection for that?
