Exporting Web Forms to Excel (HFM 11.1.2)

In HFM 11.1.2 you have the option of exporting web forms to either excel 2003 or excel 2007. At my client we tested exporting/re-importing the file into excel 2007 and it worked fine. However using the option to export to excel 2003, we have no trouble exporting, but when we import an excel file, we get the message that the data has imported successfully, but no data appears on the web form.

Note: when clicking the icon to export to excel 2007, it saves the document as an Excel 97-2003 .xls workbook. It does the same for the 2003 export. We do not understand why if in both processes it is saving down as a .xls is the process not working?

Any thoughts on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
