Export Database vs RMAN database cloning using active duplicate databases

Dear all,

We have a new node YY with the Oracle 11g DB setup, we have 2 data load options for the new node YY database, namely:

1. Export the data from source database XX and import it into YY, or

2. RMAN database cloning using active duplicate databases.

Please share your thoughts about the preferred option for the DB data load and its advantages over the other.
