'Expenditure Item Date' vs 'Need By Date' : defualt value in Self Service Purchasing

In SSP within the requisition cart, we need a way of independently defaulting the 'Need By Date' and the 'Expenditure item date'

Currently we have tried setting the Profile Option: POR_REQUESTED_DATE_OFFSET

As per MetaLink note 2244816.1 PRC: SSP: How Is Expenditure Item Date Field Value Defaulted In Project Requisitions?

However I need the 'Need By Date' to default to SYSDATE + 7, and the 'Expenditure Item Date' to default to SYSDATE.

Any ideas how to achieve this?
