expdp worked last week, fails now with ORA-39014 ORA-39029 ORA-31671ORA-006

aix 5.3 oracle ee 11.1.0.7

last week I used expdp multiple times to export this test database. Now this week it throws a bunch of errors and fails. I found the following metalink note that matches the problem, ID 760226.1. But the cause listed in the note is XDB not installed correctly, but that is not the case

XDB Oracle XML Database 11.1.0.7.0 VALID 02-MAR-2010 08:54:29

anyone else ever see this, or have any ideas?
