expdp estimate_only parameter

Hello,
I am trying to test expdp in my database and see who much it will consume space, so when i run expdp and use the estimate_only parameter, it returns 180G the size of the export, which is great
now i run the real export and so far the size of the dump file exceed 255G and keep grows, Any idea why this happen?
does the estimate suppose to give real answer based on the block estimation.
my OS is linux 64
and database is 10.2.0.4
