EXP not working,how to find error?

Hello,
I am taking a backup of a user on oracle 10g R2 server, then i am droping that user using cascade command. But when i recreate the user and try ti export the same backup file to it.....its not working properly.....i can't read the things in command prompt, but it is not the normal text as usual & at last the window of command prompt gets closed. How can i get the information what is the exact error ? What to do to export the dump file in user with the exact data ........?????
