Executing Multiple Stored Procedure Simultaneously to Improve Performance.

441862Jun 3 2005 — edited Jun 4 2005
Hi

I have a VB Exe through which currently there are 2 SP which are getting executed one after the another. I have changed the EXE to Multiple EXEs and now all the 2 are executing Simulatenously. Each Exe is executing one SP.

This was done mainly because i wanted to reduce the total execution time.

All my SP are actually Fetching data from one table and inserting in different tables.

I am using Bulk Insert to fetch and insert data in SP.

To my surprise the overall execution time of multiple EXEs increased rather than decreasing.

Am i going wrong somewhere ??? What could be the reason and what is the alternate solution to it.

Regards

Nikhil
