Execute statement button disabled for SQL script.

I just installed production version of SQL Developer on WinXP. Looks great but I found some strange behaviour:

When I'm connected and opening file using "Open..." button on the main toolbar it opens it in "script" window that has "Execute" and "Run Script" buttons disabled. It recognizes it's SQL script (has that special icon in the tab) but will NOT let me execute it. If I open the same file from "SQL worksheet" window, using "Open..." command from pop-up menu - then I have those buttons enabled and can run script.

If this a bag or a feature? If it's planned behaviour, what is the purpose of not allowing me to run SQL from the file I opened?

Thanks,
Vlad
