EXECUTE DBMS_STATS

user1014019Sep 30 2009 — edited Sep 30 2009
Dear Sir

When I run this command on this database my statistics becomes upto-date by running this command

execute dbms_stats.gather_schema_stats('USERNAME',METHOD_OPT => 'For all indexed columns size 250',cascade => 'true');

It gives me message as
SQL> PL/SQL PROCEDURE SUCCESFULLY EXECUTED.

This command increases the performance of the database as well as application for limited amount of time.
In the user_tables data dictionary view column I can see the Last_analysed tables date changes to today's date.

This command increases the performance of the database and the application .But after a day or day the performance in the database as well as application decreases.
Should I run this command everyday to increase the performance of the database as well as application or any alternate solution to increase the performance of the database as well as application.?

Appreciate your help on the above?

Regards
