excessive 'PX Deq: Execute Reply' waits

We just migrated from HP-Unix to solaris.
We are refreshing a large materialized view. We had no issues with it on hp-unix. We are refreshing remotely across a database link.
When I trace it, the only event I get is below. I look in v$sess_io and there has been virtually no IO.
I ran an awr report and this wait dominates.
I thought it might be a wait on the remote database, but I would think that would lead to a sqlnet wait event and not a parallel wait.
This has been running for 9 hours and nothing has happened. It happened yesterday also and we have bounced teh database. I looked in v$session_event and this wait clearly dominates.
I do have another question. How do I figure out what the name of the session is that I have open in the remote database? I am running a create materialized view command?
