Excel OLE2 controlling a text box

I am dumping text out of my form and into an excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains merged/word wrapped cells which should display all of the output data but I've run into a problem whereby excel will only wrap the 1st 1024 characters. To get round this I'm trying to use a text box inserted into the spreadsheet but cannot get the correct combination of OLE2 calls to control the value of the object. In VB its referenced as a Shape on the ActiveSheet but I'm not getting far.

So, does anyone know how to control a text box within an excel spreadsheet with OLE2?
