Exceeding the DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE.....

sgalaxyMar 25 2007 — edited Mar 25 2007
Hi ,
The DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE defines the total (maximum) number of bytes of all backup and recovery files created in the flash recovery area....

My question is : What happens when the total size of all these files exceed or tend to exceed this limit...... ????? The new files (new backup files) overwrite the old ones.... so as the total size remain just below the size defined in the DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE parameter..... or what else.....?????

Many thanks ,
Simon
