Excecuting Proactive Commands

Hi,
I'm new to java card area. Can you tell me how to excecute a proactive command in Java Card. Simple code is appreciated.

Note: I'm programming a SIM with SIM Toolkit support. Actually I want to get the IMEI of the handset with the Proactive Command "PROVIDE LOCAL INFORMATION".
