Exadata experts,

I have a question reqarding Exadata storage server.

1. Can a Exadata Storage server be attached to a standard Linux server and use it as a storage frame ?
2. Can the linux server host a 11.2.0.2 database + ASM and configure ASM to use the EXADATA storage server ?
3. Can Exadata storage server be used to provision filesystem space for non-database needs ?
4. If the answer to 1 & 2 is YES, what edition of oracle is needed to optimally use the Exadata storage ? Is EE required or SE be sufficient ?

I am reading the Exadata storage server literature and it keeps referring to the Exadata database machine. Is Exadata storage server explicitly made only to service the Exadata database machine or can it be used to host standalone oracle databases/RAC databases in a linux/non-linux hosts, Use it for non-oracle filesystem requirements etc. ?

Thank you,

Shaji.
