Every time i am login as a DBA USER loosing ORACLE Environment variable

Hi to all,
I am using Oracle 10g on Linux RHL 4.0:-

and every time i login into system i need to set Environment Variable i.e $ORACLE_HOME & SID

Even I can't loginto My LINUXthrough GUI (AS A DBA USER), It seems my .BASH_PROFILE is also not working ONe's i logout.
How cacn i set my those variables permenetly in the .basth_profile (or) How can i run /excute/set those parametrs (Env. Variables) every time i login to system.

PLZ HELP IN THIS REGARD.
