ethreal on Solaris Zones

I have two applications running on different zones.

Am sending a message over TCP socket connection from one application to another.

Used Ethreal(Version 0.10.12) to capture packets, filtered on ports, src/dst IP Addr. But ethreal is not showing any packets!The same applications when run on two different Sol-9 machines, shows the packets.

Is there some OS configuration required to use ethreal on Solaris-10 ? OR is this a known behaviour ?
