Essential Energy has implemented several product enhancements to support higher transaction volumes and streamline user navigation by reducing interaction complexity. It is recommended that Oracle evaluate the adoption of these enhancements within the core product and partner with Essential Energy on continuous improvement initiatives. One of these enhancements is: Estimation Portal
A portal that can be used to conduct an estimate against construction work orders all from one screen. This portal comprises of following functionality:
Work Order and Activity Search Zone: The Search zone can be used to apply relevant filters to search for Construction Work Orders or Construction Work Activities.
Select Library: The library can be used to select Compatible Units, Resources or Activities for a detailed list of options in each category.
Actions Toolbar: The Actions Toolbar can be used to perform various actions on the portal or Work Orders/Work Activities.
Hours and Cost View: The Hours and Cost View can be used to view additional details about the Construction Work Order and Construction Work Activities visible in the Estimation Portal. This section is automatically populated once the Construction Work Order and Construction Work Activities are updated within the Estimation Portal.
Workstation: The Workstation can be used to access the selected Construction Work Order and Construction Work Activities and related CU and Resources.
Attachments: The Attachments zone can be used to add attachments to Construction Work Order and Construction Work Activities.
This prevents users from going through multiple WACS portals and screens and reduce the time taken by estimators to do their day-to-day work via one portal.
