Error While Installing Oracle software in Linux

HI All,

I have a installed Linux version x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux in VMpalyer.

There I am trying to install oracle-xe-11.2.0-1.0.x86_64.rpm by following command:

rmp -ivh oracle-xe-11.2.0-1.0.x86_64.rpm

But I become with the below error:

error: can't create transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/.rpm.lock (Permission denied)

this file located in */home/himanshu/Downloads/Disk1*

I request you to help me out from this.
