Error when starting installation (Intel)

I am a hardcore rookie this the first time I have ever attempted to install Solaris any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I get through most of the boot process, I setp my default boot device but then when I hit F2 to contiune I get this error:
Unable to mount a Solaris root system from the Device:
Disk (*) Target 0, WDC A32 100H
on IDE controller on ISA Bus at 1F0
Error message from mount
/isa/ata@1,1f0/cmdk@0,0:a:
cant open -no VTOC
press enter to continue
HELP!!!!!!!!
