error using 64-bit PKCS#11 library with HSM on HPUX 11.11

Hello,

I am working to integrate an nCipher nShield HSM with an Oracle 10g R2 Wallet running on HPUX 11.11 (on PA-RISC). I had no problems using nCipher’s standard PKCS#11 library to provide Wallet functionality.

However, when I tried to use the 64-bit equivalent (/opt/nfast/toolkits/pkcs11/libcknfast-64.sl) I receive the following error after selecting the file using the Wallet GUI:
“ORA-43000: PKCS11: library not found.“

Google found me this article, which advises to launch the Wallet Manager using “owm –pkcs11” if using 64-bit Solaris.

Is there a similar requirement for 64-bit HPUX?

If not, could anyone provide some help me understand what might cause this error message?

Alternatively, could it be that a 64-bit PKCS#11 provider is just not supported?

I don't think it is the library itself - it is just a 64-bit equivalent of the working 32-bit library.

I really appreciate any thoughts anyone may have…
