Error Starting Listener on Mac OS X

718116Aug 19 2009 — edited Aug 20 2009
Hello,

I just installed Oracle on OS X using the instructions found here:

http://blogobaggins.com/2009/06/23/native-oracle-on-osx.html#fn4

I got through the installation and am now trying to run this command to start the database listener:

lsnrctl start

However, it fails, and prints this message to a log file:

lsnrctl start

Note that the HOST field is incorrect as it apparently has no value. I looked for a tnsnames.ora file but couldn't find one so I don't know where it's pulling this information.

Can anybody tell me where it's pulling this information, and how I can change the host?

Thank you!!!

-Ryan
