Hi all,
We have just done some proof of concept testing on various failure scenarios. We are doing Oracle-to-Oracle replication between two data centres. The data pump process is handled via passive extract on the source system coupled with an alias extract on the target. We then terminated all connections at the firewall and blocked new connections to see what would happen.
The passive extract ended up reporting as ABENDED at the source system (with a TCP connection forcibly closed error in the log), as expected. However, the alias extract on the target system continued to report as RUNNING. Is there something that we need to set up so that the alias extract would realise something had happened and report as abended?
Thanks,
John
