Error--Package javax.servlet.* not found

Hi.

I am using J2SDK1.4.2_06 and Tomcat 5.0.28. It was working fine till the rescect past. But now I am seeing that when I try to compile any servlets I am getting 2 errors stating that ""package javax.servlet.* does not exits and also package javax.servlet.http.* does not exist""

I uninstalled both the JDK and tomcat and reloaded both of them but still I am getting the same errors. What could be the reason. Do reply.
