Error on dg4odbc

The below error message tells nothing regarding the actual error. We are using dg4odbc 11.2.0.4

SQL> select count(*) from testtab@hive;

select count(*) from testtab@hive

ERROR at line 1:

ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:

ORA-02063: preceding line from HIVE
