Error on ADF UI - ORA-01722: invalid number

hi

i have one problem with adf, i created adf application for that time one field is number in DB ,that is referencing one more table aslo.
what my problem is now that field is changed to varchar2 while using same data-control in its giving error "*ORA-01722: invalid number*"
how to resolve this problem without changing all UI and Data Contro ensure that i am created all UI from Read only view objects .
