Error Message cropping up...

I'm running into this error after upgrading to the ODBC driver version 8.1.7.7.0;

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e0e'
[Oracle][ODBC]Invalid bookmark value.

I am thinking this could be an error in programmers code not an ODBC configuration error.
But would like to clarify if this error is from a known issue or if it generally relates to code rather than configuration settings.
